The game started off nicely. The Diamondbacks put two runs on the board in support of Zack Godley before he ever took the mound. David Peralta tacked on another run with an opposite field solo shot in the second. Minnesota scratched back into it with solo runs in the third and fourth innings. Then the floodgates opened, with the bullpen unable to do anything to slow the tide. By the time the night was over, the Twins had scored ten unanswered runs on the back of six home runs to cruise to an easy blowout victory. At least the ceremony honoring Ron Gardenhire before the game was nice.
