CINCINNATI -- The first inning wasn't kind to either starter in Friday's series opener between the Reds and D-backs.
Reds starter Dan Straily allowed two first-inning runs, but his counterpart, Archie Bradley, allowed three, giving up the only Arizona lead of the game as the Reds went on to win, 6-2. The Reds now have won four of their last five games.
Straily opened the game up by giving up a leadoff homer to Jean Segura and then a double to Michael Bourn, who came around to score. He settled down after that to pitch his final five innings without a run.
