Remember Addison Reed? He was the Diamondbacks closer from 2014-2015. He underwhelmed repeatedly, and was sent down to Triple-A last season. He was unceremoniously traded to the Mets in a late-August trade, ending a disappointing Diamondbacks tenure.
Since the trade, Reed has been nothing short of solid with the Mets. He had a 1.17 ERA with the team last season in 17 regular season games, and was a major part of a bullpen that took them to the playoffs. This year, he has a 3.65 ERA in 13 games. This is far better than the 4.23 ERA Reed posted with the Diamondbacks.
