CINCINNATI – A little past the midway point in one of the most disappointing seasons in franchise history, the Diamondbacks appear to be weighing a managerial change.
Rumors surfaced late Thursday night that the Diamondbacks were expected to fire manager Chip Hale and replace him with Triple-A Reno manager Phil Nevin. Club sources would not confirm that, but there were indications the team was considering making a change.
Diamondbacks General Manager Dave Stewart would not go into specifics.
“I don’t want to comment on rumors,” Stewart said.
