HOUSTON -- One day after removing outfielder Yasmany Tomas apparently for lack of hustle on a grounder to first base, D-backs manager Chip Hale once again declined to get into the specifics of his decision before Sunday's game, but he did shine some light on what he expects in those situations.
Tomas hit a grounder to first in the sixth inning Saturday, jogged out of the batter's box and stopped running to first when the first baseman stepped on the bag.
Hale was asked Sunday if he wants a player in those type of situations to run all the way to the bag.
