As expected, the Arizona Cardinals have officially used their franchise tag on Chandler Jones, according to Albert Breer of TheMMQB.com:

The Cards' tag on Jones is the first one to be filed. More to come over the next 48 hours. The linebacker tender will be at ~$14.6 million.

Arizona acquired Jones from the Patriots in a trade before the season started, and they didn't make that trade for Jones to be a one-year rental. Even though they used the franchise tag on him, they will continue to try to negotiate a long-term deal deal with him.
Jones recorded 49 tackles with 11 sacks, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries last season.
