TROY, ALA. – Appalachian State University softball dropped the conference doubleheader to Troy on Saturday at the Troy Softball Complex in Troy, Ala. App State fell 8-3 in game one after a seven-run fourth inning by the Trojans and slipped 5-0 in game two.
Appalachian State (12-29, 0-17 SBC) cranked out six hits on the day with Cara Parker and Megan Walker pounding out doubles in game one. Also, Walker registered her first multiple-RBI game of the season knocking in two on her first double of the year.
Game One: Troy 8, App State 3
App State dropped a three-run lead after the Trojans’ (19-29, 7-14 SBC) bats got hot in the fourth scoring seven runs to put away game one, 8-3.
