BOONE, N.C. –– Appalachian State University men’s basketball and head coach Jim Fox announced its second addition for the 2017-18 season with the signing of Justin Forrest (Decatur, Ga./Greenforest McCalep Christian Academy) on Tuesday.
Forrest, a six-foot, two-inch, 195-pound combo guard and son of former Georgia Tech star James Forrest, will come to App State after posting back-to-back Georgia High School Association Class A-Private Boys State Championships. His father played for heralded former Appalachian State basketball head coach Bobby Cremins while at Georgia Tech.
Forrest recently led Greensforest to its second-straight Class A-Private championship.
