BOONE, N.C. – Appalachian State University wrestling senior Forrest Przybysz will spend time at an even higher elevation than usual in the High Country this summer when he travels to France to study abroad.
Traveling to Chamonix, France, Przybysz will look at the effects of climate change on the area and French Alps' predominantly cold-weather-dependent tourism industry. They will be observing, recording and analyzing evidence of climate change as well as surveying the local people in order to understand their perceptions on the issue as well.
“I have never had the opportunity to travel overseas so this is a great opportunity for me,” Przybysz said.
