SANDESTIN, Fla. – Appalachian State sophomore Alex Burris (Greensboro, N.C.) tied for 28th to lead the Mountaineers at the 2017 Sun Belt Championships, which concluded on Monday at Raven Golf Club. Burris eagled the par-5 eleventh hole as part of his round of 74 (+3) to finish the week at 8-over par.
Troy (+3) grabbed the top seed in tomorrow’s match play, followed by Georgia Southern (+12), Arkansas State (+20), and Georgia State (+20) in the four-team playoff. App (+47) fired a 298 in the final round and couldn’t close the gap on the rest of the field.
