Recap: Anaheim 2-Montreal 1: Nothing Like a Good Goalie Battle

First Period:

The Ducks came out to start the game but they didn’t exactly show up early on. At one point, the Canadians led 7-0 in shots. It took an entire eleven minutes for Anaheim to even get up two shots on the scoreboard. Luckily, Gibson and company were able to kill two penalties and keep the puck out of the net.

In typical Ducks fashion these days, Rickard Rakell scored on the power play to make the game 1-0 Anaheim. Rakell now has nine goals in only fourteen games. If he can keep it up, that’s on pace for over 50 goals.
