They say the best way to silence critics is to do exactly what they say is impossible. Much has been said about Anaheim’s past Game 7 shortcomings, both of which occurred on home ice and in consecutive years. A disappointing loss in the opening round to Detroit in 2013 was followed by a crushing 6-2 defeat to the eventual Cup-winning LA Kings in the Second Round last year.
In a series many have said rivals or even surpasses last year’s Blackhawks-Kings Western Conference Final, it’s no surprise this one is going the distance.
