WATCH: Alabama Flips Momentum In Title Game With Perfect Onside Kick, Long TD Pass

Leave it to tricky Nick Saban to turn a national championship game on its head!

After the Alabama Crimson Tide drove down the field and kicked a field goal to tie the national championship game 24-24 in the fourth quarter, Saban called an onside kick on the ensuing kickoff, which was executed to perfection.

However, Alabama wasn't done there. Two plays later, quarterback Jake Coker found tight end O.J. Howard for a 51-yard touchdown, his second 50+ yard touchdown catch of the game.

The play gave Alabama 10 points in just 49 seconds to take the 31-24 lead with less than 10 minutes to play.

Howard now has four catches for 145 yards and two touchdowns in easily the most productive game of his career. Coker has thrown for 272 yards and the two touchdowns to Howard.
