Gehrig Dieter, who caught 94 passes for 1,033 yards and 10 touchdowns this past season for MAC champion Bowling Green, is meeting with Crimson Tide coaches this weekend and plans to enroll at Alabama following his graduation from BG in May.
Dieter’s decisions means Alabama will be the only team in the nation this fall with two receivers who caught at least 89 passes this past season. Calvin Ridley led the Tide with 89 receptions in 2015.
In 2015, Richard Mullaney — a graduate transfer from Oregon State — had 38 catches for 390 yards and five touchdowns as the Tide won the national title.
