FAU's Lane Kiffin ghosted commit, pulled offer: 'I got a sense that something was wrong'

Let's be clear: It happens everywhere and way to frequently when it comes to college football recruiting.

Schools offer kids, who then commit, then there is a coaching change.

It leaves kids wondering where they stand.

Such is the case with 2-star Orlando, Florida, safety D.J. Charles. Listed as an athlete, he was offered by Florida Atlantic coach Charlie Partridge.

According to a couple of reports, Charles was told if he didn't commit there may not be a spot for him, so he did.

However, Partridge was fired Nov. 27. Enter former Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin.
