Baseball Falls in Back-and-Forth Battle with Fourth-Ranked Florida, 5-4

HOOVER, Ala. – Alabama baseball’s run in the 2016 SEC Tournament came to an end on Thursday afternoon, as the Crimson Tide fell, 5-4, to No. 4 Florida. With the loss, UA’s record sits at 32-26 overall and finished at 1-2 in the conference’s postseason tourney.

“Jake (Walters) has been so good for us all year, but he just didn’t have the command today that he’s had throughout the course of the season,” said Alabama head coach Mitch Gaspard. “With that being said, the offense was able to put together a good inning (in the third) and take the lead.
