Alabama baseball drops first game of doubleheader

OXFORD, Miss. | Alabama baseball suffered a 10-2 loss to Ole Miss in the first game of Saturday’s doubleheader inside Swayze Field. With the loss, Alabama sits at 22-19 overall and 7-12 in conference play.

Alabama allowed a season-high 17 hits and gave up double-digit runs in conference play for just the second time this season. Ole Miss starter Christian Trent tossed 8.0 innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits to get his sixth win of the season. Kyle Overstreet collected his second home run of the season for the Tide and finished the day with two runs scored to go with his homer.
