Alabama softball opens their tenth trip to the Women’s College World Series against the third-seeded Michigan Wolverines. This will be the third meeting between the squads this season, with Michigan winning both previous games.
What to watch for:
Bama’s ability to bring runners in – I harped on this all weekend, and I’m going to talk about it some more. Against Oklahoma, Alabama went 3-18 with runners in scoring position. They struggled against Michigan with this in Feburary as well, leaving 16 runners on base in two games.
Defensive endurance – With the double elimination style of the tournament, a team can play up to seven games in one week.
