JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- The Akron softball team split a pair of games on opening day at the Dolphin Invitational on Saturday at the Pruitt Softball Complex.
In the opener, the Zips gave North Carolina A&T its seventh loss of the season in a 6-1 victory. Akron finished the afternoon with a 2-1 loss to host Jacksonville.
The Zips stand 6-6 overall, while the Aggies fell to 5-7 overall, and Jacksonville improved to 7-6.
