AKRON, Ohio - Former University of Akron men's soccer standouts have found success this season as more than 25 former Zips are currently playing professional soccer both in the United States and abroad.

Saad Abdul-Salaam – Sporting KC (@Saad_Abdul)
Has battled an early season thigh injury and made his 2017 debut for Sporting KC subbing in the final minute of play in a 1-0 victory at Portland (April 15)…tallied one minute of reserve duty in a 2-2 draw at Orlando (May 15).

Teal Bunbury – New England Revolution (@TealBunB)
Has garnered reserve action for the Revolution (4-4-4) in eight matches in 2017…owns seven shots on the campaign, including posting a season-best two in a 1-1 draw at Portland (April 2)…played in 15 and 13 minutes of reserve duty, respectively, in a 2-2 draw versus DC United (April 22) and in a 3-3 draw at Seattle (May 29)…has not appeared in the last three matches for the Revolution…subbed in to play a season-high 24 minutes in a 3-0 setback at Chicago (April 15).
