AKRON, Ohio — Blame it all on love– well, puppy love, that is! Approximately 35 members of the University of Akron football team spent Tuesday afternoon volunteering at the One of Kind Pet Rescue (1929 West Market Street), the area's no kill animal shelter.
The student-athletes, along with offensive line coach Brett Ekkens, strength & conditioning coach Matt Gildersleeve and his staff, cleaned out kennels, organized storage sheds, weeded gardens, played with cats, and walked dogs during their adventure.
