East Lansing, Mich. – The Akron Zips women's golf team finished the initial two rounds of the Mary Fossum Invitational ranked fifth overall with an opening round 305 and second round 304 scores for a 609 (+33) 36-hole total. Thre Zips currently rank inside the Top 25, heading into tomorrow's final round at Forest Akers West Course.
"Consistency across the line up was key today, Zips' head coach Jenny King said. "I thought everyone handled themselves well mentally and executed their game plans. When we play relaxed, we play solid golf. We just have to continue the momentum tomorrow and finish strong.
