LUBLIN, Poland – Akron senior Luka Szynal (Lublin, Poland) participated at the 2017 Polish National Championships in her hometown over the weekend, finishing third in two events.
"I am very proud of Luka and her accomplishments over the past four years at Akron," said Zips' head coach Brian Peresie. "Her improvement has been impressive, and we are all excited to see what she will set out to try and accomplish next."
During Thursday's prelims, Szynal qualified for the championship final in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:18.19, earning a seventh seed.
