PHOTO GALLERY AKRON, Ohio – Two Akron Zips were among the honorees at the 2017 Great America Rifle Conference Championships banquet on Thursday evening at InfoCision Stadium. Senior Zachary Strohl (Barto, Pa.) earned Honorable Mention All-Conference honors in the combined (air rifle and smallbore) with a season average of 1165.143. Freshman Kera Kaufman (Delmont, S.D.) was named Akron's Scholar-Athlete. She has a perfect 4.00 grade-point average in exercise science. The University of Akron will host the 2017 Great America Rifle Conference (GARC) Championships on Feb.
