AKRON, Ohio – Sophomore Madison Myers (Akron, Ohio) and senior Luka Szynal (Lublin, Poland) each turned in electric sub-53's in the 100 backstroke on the second day of the Zippy Invitational to pace the Zips as they continued to dominate at the Ocasek Natatorium on Saturday.
After two days of competition, the Zips lead the women's field with 1,443 total points, followed by Oakland (1,246), and Buffalo with 1,110. On the men's side of the Invitational, Cornell leads with 1,402.5 points, in second is Oakland with 1,246, and Buffalo in third with 1,112.
During the preliminary rounds, Myers geared up for her first swim of the day.
